The employment of Des is optional and may be paraphrased (unlike C).

Des sometimes take on Fut meanings

Examples:

 

Cikīrṣati = Kartum icchati. (1 & 3)

‘He wishes to do.’

 

Phalam pipatiṣati. (2)

‘The fruit is about to fall.’

 

Rājānam prayiyāsantam. (4)

‘A king about to depart.’

 

Prāṇaḥ uccikramiṣan. (4)

‘The breath on the point of expiring.’
