Meanings

rámate rámati ramṇāti v PPP rate (q.v.) trans. stop, fix, settle; gladden, delight, enjoy (esp. carnally); intrans. stop, rest, stay gladly with (L or D); delight in, be pleased with or to (L, I, or Inf); be happy or content; dally or have sexual intercourse with (I samam, saha, sākam, or sārdham). Caus. ramáyati or rāmáyati = S. trans.

 

anu P stop (intrans.), stay; Ā find pleasure or delight.

abhi Ā stop, stay; delight in, be satisfied or pleased with (L or I saha). upāva Ā feel comfortable.

ā P stop, cease; take delight in (L), enjoy carnally (I samam). upā P (Ā) rest, repose, desist from (Ab). vyupā & samā the same.
